Flea markets are a great place to find unique collectibles and a great way to spend a weekend with friends or family. One of my favorite flea markets in New York City is located in Williamsburg, the Brooklyn Flea Market. Not only can you find antique and repurposed treasures, you can discover new designers and artisans as well.

On a recent visit, I discovered tasty pickles by McClure's Pickles, delectable mini pies and baked goods by Cutie Pies (it was her first day in business), scarves, kaftans and jewelry from around the world at Martine's Dreams and the tiniest gardens in interesting and unique planters by Little Gardens.

Besides the Brooklyn Flea Market, I also would recommend the three below (all located in Manhattan):

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market
West 39th Street & 9th Avenue

The Market NYC
328 West 14th Street

GreenFlea Market
242 West 30th Street
