This is footage of the Duke of Buccleuch Hunt from the most recent hunting season in Scotland.
In clip you will see a fox being pursued by dogs under the control and direction of a huntsman and joint master. A fox is seen running from an area of gorse on top of a gorge by a small group of hunt riders. The huntsman is alerted to the presence of the fox and subsequently took the dogs to the location of where the fox had been seen. The dogs picked up the scent of the fox and you will then see the hounds pursuing it across an open field with encouragement from the hunt. This is what ‘flushing to guns’ looks like in Scotland. No guns… just hunting! And that is why the proposed amendments to the Hunting Act in England and Wales must be opposed.
