Little Betty #1 was a similar guitar that I finished a few weeks ago. She was sold only three or four hours after listing on Trade me, so I figured I better make another one fast! Little Betty #2 uses the last of the rimu that I got from the bench tops that were formerly in the Otago Uni chemistry dept. She has different pickups than #1, and a slightly different look, but follows the same basic philosophy - a guitar made of hard, dense wood with a design that minimised the weight.
She’s made entirely out of recycled materials and bits and pieces that I had lying around my workshop (my workshop has quite a few nice guitar parts, so she’s actually made using some nice hardware).
There will be more in this series but each one will be different, and have it’s own personality.
