Ever wonder how wine labels are printed? Our label vendor, Richmark in Seattle took these photos for us. It's a very interesting process. The labels are pressure sensitive, and printed on a roll. The first run prints the blue ink; the roll is rewound and sent through for the black ink; and rewound and sent through for the gold logo ink. A UV coating is applied and then dried; this protects the labels from scuffing and scratching. Then the excess paper is cut away. The press runs 180 feet a minute. Thanks to our rep Dan White!
