Patton Park seemed like the perfect location for a 7-year old's birthday party Sunday. "It was going good and we were having a good time. Kids were running throwing the football. Just a normal birthday party at the park," said Michael Jones, father of two children at the party. That all changed when parents noticed Jason Dorato bathing in a nearby creek in broad daylight. "We couldn't see his bottom half but he kept dumping water on his head and stuff," said Jones.Jones said Dorato spent 30 minutes in the creek. At first he said everyone tried to ignore Dorato. "When everybody was packing up he decides to walk out of the creek back to his car, and that's when we seen he was fully nude, and that's when we called the police," Jones said. By the time cops arrived the naked man had left the creek and was now standing in there parking lot. "When they get there they find the male drying off with a t-shirt completely naked," said Captain Bruce Simonds of the Hendersonville Police Department.Jones says he tried in vain to cover the eyes of his children. "My daughter caught a glimpse of him and my son seen him and he's been asking me why was that man naked running around in the park." According to police reports Dorato admitted being high on meth at the time. "He didn't know where he was at. He was from Asheville," said Capt. Simonds. Once Dorato got dressed, he was booked into jail on felony indecent exposure and drug paraphernalia charges. Said Capt. Simonds, "it's not something we run into everyday. It's a case that's very unusual." Because of the indecent exposure charge against Dorato he was forced to give over a DNA sample. He's since bonded out of the Henderson County Jail. Attempts to reach him were unsuccessful.\nBy: Mario Boone, email@example.com\nFollow Mario on Twitter @marioboone
