5/18/2010 - MCALLEN - The governor also reflected on the selfless dedication of Jack Colley, who served as head of the states Division of Emergency Management during some of the most trying disasters in our states history, including hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike. Colley passed away on May 16.
Over the past several years, we have had the privilege of working with a man who had a clear vision for emergency management, whose distinctive voice was heard daily during disasters, as we met emergencies head-on as a well-coordinated team, Gov. Perry said. As we mourn his passing, we also lift a prayer of thanks for the real difference he made in the health, safety and well-being of countless Texans.
