Healthy Body Healthy Mind (3302) - Lipodystrophy is a disorder where the body’s fatty tissue is attacked, causing a loss of body fat. It can occur throughout the body or in selective areas. And patients with lipodystrophy tend to develop insulin resistance,diabetes, high triglyceride and cholesterol levels, and sometimes, fatty liver disease. There are numerous forms of lipodystrophy that are either genetic or acquired.
