Being a "right brained" person can pose challenges because some of those traits (imaginative, intuitive) that make someone wonderfully creative can clash with some of the needs and realities of the business world. In his keynote presentation, Michael Hess will talk about these challenges and how they can affect career progression, from job search, to daily work life, to climbing the career ladder or event taking the leap into entrepreneurship. Presented by Michael Hess, Founder and CEO of Skooba Design. This keynote presentation kicked off the Rochester Institute of Technology's 7th annual Creativity: Careers in Motion event, hosted by the Office of Co-op and Career Services (www.rit.edu/co-op/careers) and the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences.
Michael Hess has more than 20 years' experience in consumer product sales and marketing, product development, entrepreneurship and executive management. He writes a twice-weekly column "Business with Class" for CBS News and serves as both formal and informal advisor to other entrepreneurs and small business owners.
