The next CIPR TV show will be at 5pm on Wednesday 20 June and will discuss the well documented (and sometimes volatile) relationship between the public relations profession and the Wikipedia community.
In January 2012, the CIPR partnered with Wikimedia UK, the local chapter behind Wikipedia in the UK. The goal of the partnership is to create mutual understanding for mutual advantage between the two communities. The first step is guidance for public relations professionals outlining how best to engage with the Wikipedia community.
To hear both sides of the debate, tune into CIPR TV where guests David Gerard, active volunteer for Wikimedia UK, and Philip Sheldrake, Founder of Meanwhile and regular presenter of CIPR TV, will discuss how best practice guidelines for public relations professionals are the first step on a long road to mutual respect between both communities.
Gem Griffiths, Managing Director at The Crowd &I, will present this month's show. If you would like her to put a question to the guests on your behalf, please submit it via the question box or tweet using the hashtag #CIPRtv.
CIPR TV is brought to you by markettiers4dc and the CIPR Social Media Panel.
