OLB/SS Buddy Wood, Central Washington
Will be shown wearing #44 and #40 on certain clips

Buddy Wood was one of the leaders of the best defense in Division II football. Buddy is capable of playing the strong safety position and will be an effective outside linebacker in any situation, whether against the run or pass. Buddy is a ball hawk and seems to always be around the play. He uses his speed, power, and timing to deliver crushing blows to jar balls loose as receivers go up for the catch. If given the opportunity, Buddy will also be a playmaker on special teams and led CWU in special teams tackles and blocked kicks, 3 blocked kicks in his senior year alone, 6 in his career. Buddy is a player who plays with a lot of heart and determination and has a motor that doesnt quit.

-2009 GNAC Defensive Player of the Year
-D2 First Team All-American by AFCA and Daktronics, Inc
