Independent observers have delivered a damning verdict on Belarus' parliamentary elections saying that Sunday's vote was not free or competitive.
The opposition had called for a boycott of the elections, saying they were a sham even before they began.
Yaroslav Romanchuk, a veteran politician who ran for president in 2010 but lost to Alexander Lukashenko, is trying to unite the opposition.
He said change will come eventually and is hinting at another run for the presidency in 2015.
