Android Marshmallow introduced Doze mode - -a new way for the device to preserve battery by entering into an idle state. This video includes an overview of Doze mode and the motivation behind it, as well as how to make sure that your app behaves as expected both in and out of Doze mode. Most app behavior shouldn’t be affected, but for those special cases, we’ll walk through how to make sure that your app is responsive even during Doze mode, with Google Cloud Messaging’s “high priority” status or with AlarmManager’s new ...AndAllowWhileIdle() methods.
