The presentation describes the development and use of a digital textbook for a required introductory course (POS2041 Government of the USA). The description of the process of developing the textbook includes explaining the original reasons for developing it, describing the obstacles that had to be overcome, the suppor of the Distance Learning/Orange Grove repository, and discussing issues such as peer review. The description of the textbook's use includes examples of the interactive learning pedagogy that inspired the development of the digital textbook, and explanations of how it is used in traditional and hybrid course delivery methods
