Sick Seconds is a Canadian rock band formed 2012, influenced by blues, punk, funk and music of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Its five band members, Juno award winning (Canadian Grammy) Barry Harris (Lead Vocals & Guitar), Anton Cook (Drums & Percussion), Steve Wood (Bass & Backup Vocals), Jesse Long (Lead Guitar & Background Vocals) and Dan Volchok (Lead Vocals, Keys & Guitar), are an eclectic group of guys brought together by friends and a shared passion for music.
Seasoned musicians and longtime friends, Barry Harris and Anton Cook (former drummer with King Apparatus) started jamming out ideas with Steve late 2011. In the summer of 2012, Jesse Long joined the trio to contribute his additional guitar skills. As the chemistry developed and new songs written, singer/songwriter Dan Volchok joined the band to add yet another flavour to the group that would eventually be named Sick Seconds.
By fall of 2012, a band was born. Sick Seconds began recording & mixing their first L.P. in January 2013 at world famous The Orange Lounge in Toronto, Canada.
Sick Seconds plan to officially launch into the Toronto music scene spring of 2013. Like the Sick Seconds Facebook page and follow the band on Twitter for updates.
