Every hour between mid-morning and early evening, the Turret Clock in Sydney's Queen Victoria Building shows an animatronic display of history with England's royalty. The display can be seen from both sides of the viewing level.
From the other side (not the one I was standing on), the display would have gone in this order: • King Canute ordering the tide to stop coming in • The death of King Harold, said to have been hit in the eye by an arrow • The signing of the Magna Carta • The six wives of Henry VIII • The knighting of Sir Francis Drake • The execution of Charles I
