The #klmonorail is a good vehicle for a city tour since this is one of the most important transport systems, it runs along several very busy main roads. At the south end it delivers the passengers about 200m before the #klSentralStation and the rest they have to walk, having some luggage creates a problem. At Sentral Station the connection is to some "light trains" which partly operate underground, they work very good thats the right stuff to move quickly from one part to another. E.g. one of the stops is at the Petronas Towers.
There are also buses driving to the airport, they work quite quick because they can join the motorway after a few minutes which makes it similar to the #klairporttrain travel time but they only cost half. The problem is, its somehow neglected, they use not enough units means most of the time the people are crammed into or have to wait for the next. Also at every station it needs to cue for the ticked which is done manually only, imagine what long lines are waiting. This is a typical example how totally incompetent people can dilute a great thing and create disaster for others. I am sure that the bosses of this company never ever used this monorail, compared to the Bangkok Skytrain which is operated by Siemens the guys in KL really look like amateurs.
