A classic, but harder than average platformer to say the least.
It seems like a layer of sound is missing on here somehow, but never mind it's the gameplay that is most important, and it doesn't particularly interfere with watching it.

The first three areas of the game involve a lot of back tracking to obtain cages as you gain more abilities/powers that enable you to do so. Thankfully, all of the cages here can be obtained without abilities from the second area.

Each area has 3-4 stages each containing 2 or more parts to them.

For Pink Plant Woods, you won't be able to obtain all of the cages until you get the punch upgrade after the second part of the level (there are cages in the second part) and after the hang ability is obtained from Anguish Lagoon.
For Anguish Lagoon, you'll need to complete Moskito's Nest and use the grab with fists ability to obtain a cage in the first part.
The Swamps of Forgetfullness can be completed on the first run, and Moskito's Nest you'll just have to replay the first part after completing the stage and use the grab ability to obtain a cage in the first part.

Oddly enough, Bzzt manages to damage me, but his father Moskito who is much tougher doesn't.
After you've got 4 smiley faces on the map, the Dream Forest area is finished with, and you can move on to Band Land.
