Joy Robinson-Hopson is training for the 5K. She started 24 March 2011 and will continue through 9 June 2011. During the training she will accomplish strength training, stretching techniques, the power of icing (my feet were killing me) so I learned about buying proper walk/run shoes, training principles, injury prevention, motivation, nutrition and celebrating life!

Joy is training with First Strides. In our team we have 100 women who have committed to training these 12 weeks with the goal of running the 5K for
First Strides® is a gradual 12-week workshop that will help you comfortably progress from the couch to walking, jogging, or running at a pace that's right for you.
