Fascinating documentary about the influential style icon, who shaped the fashions of the 20th century.

As fashion editor of Harper's Bazaar and later consultant to the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Diana Vreeland wielded enormous influence. From New York City's Roaring '20s to London's Swinging '60s, she was at the centre of every major 20th century fashion revolution. Lisa Immordino Vreeland's documentary about her grandmother-in-law explores Diana's remarkable imagination and the high drama of her career. But it's the insights into her personal history, vulnerabilities, determination and ultimate triumph that prove most compelling. Among the film's contributors are Ali McGraw, Anjelica Huston and the cream of the world's designers, models and photographers - including Givenchy, Polly Tree, Richard Avedon and David Bailey. It all adds up to an engrossing portrait of the woman who discovered Lauren Bacall, became the epitome of chic, and revolutionised fashion as a celebration of creativity.
