Conrail E-8's in action on the old PRR Pittsburgh mainline. First clip we get a freindly wave frome the conductor as he passes west bound at Greensburg, PA 8/01/1989 with my old huge VHS cameral that you balance on your shoulder. The second clip is east bound between Manor, and Penn, PA with an old hand held Kodak Super 8mm sound camera. In the second clip taken March 1981 or 1982, and you will hear the use of the Handcock Air whistle that Conrail used on the E's for a few years. I wonder if all the big wheels on the train knew that the engineer was running without the head light on. Thanks for looking. Jackmp294...
