Brad Kearns races all out for a come-from-behind victory in the 1991 USA Triathlon National Championships at the sprint distance of 800 meter swim, 12 mile bike ride, and 3 mile run. The event was held in Aventura, Florida. American Brett Rose wins the swim and extends his lead off the bike to over one minute. With a split of 14:35 over the 3-mile course (5:00/mile pace), Brad catches Brett near the finish and is crowned national champion to go with his victory the previous month in the United States Triathlon Series Coke Grand Prix national championships.
