Your heart rate generally reflects how hard you are physically working as the more energy and oxygen your muscles require the faster your heart has to beat in order to pump the blood from your lungs to your muscles and back again.

Using a heart rate monitor and watch you can see what your heart rate is by just glancing at your wrist, giving you instant feedback on whether you should be working harder or if you need to back off.
