Osmania Biscuits are popular in Hyderabad , India as a biscuit to go with tea ( chai ) . it is easy to make and quite appropriate for having with tea.. here is how it is made .. you take one cup maida, one table spoon butter or vegetable oil like dalda, a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking powder and mix into a thick dough with water.. cut out circular biscuits about 2 inch in diameter and about 1/4 inch thick and bake them in an oven ( i've done it in my improvised oven ) for about 10 mts till the biscuits turn golden in color .. cool the biscuits and get your tea ready and EAT ! Tip: you can add a teaspoon of sugar to get a mild sweet taste, and / or cardamom powder to the batter for a variety
