OCEAN PLANET 3D - Ross Isaac and partner Kathryn Malic

Ross Isaacs, Emmy nominated underwater cinematographer and partner Kathryn Malic, have launched OCEAN PLANET 3D and have just taken delivery of their state of the art DEEP ATOM ultra high resolution underwater 3D camera system. “It’s an extraordinary piece of equipment” says Isaacs. Deep Atom integrates two EPIC X cameras by the Red Digital Cinema Company, with the 3ality Technica, ATOM beamsplitter platform and a specially designed Gates Underwater Products DEEP ATOM underwater housing. Isaacs says “This has been a 3 year journey from conception to raising the finance and completion of the prototype. We have had major input into the design of this system which has been developed in California in collaboration with our company Ocean Planet 3D and a number of US based companies.”
