Through the original Gracie Academy Instructor Certification Program (ICP) we were able to certify numerous instructors around the world to teach Gracie Jiu-Jitsu according to the exacting standards of Gracie Academy. After several years of research, planning and curriculum development, however, we have completely restructured the Gracie Academy ICP. Although the new Instructor Certification Program is more demanding than it's original counterpart, it's revolutionary format truly gives any dedicated practitioner of the art the opportunity to acquire the skills, learn a proven teaching system, and pursue the dream of becoming a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor. If you've ever thought about teaching Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, this message is for you.

There are four levels of certification at which an instructor can be recognized to teach Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. To be eligible for Level 1 Instructor Certification Program (Gracie Combatives and Gracie Bullyproof), the only technical requirement is that the prospective instructor score a 90 or greater on his/her blue belt test. Upon successful Level 1 Certification, the instructor will continue to sharpen his/her own skills as a teacher and a student of the art, and as the instructor reaches different milestones on their path to the top, he/she will be considered for higher levels of certification with will authorized him/her to teach additional segments of the Gracie Academy curriculum such as the Master Cycle and the Women Empowered program.
