Every day is Memorial day to Gold Star families.

Lance Cpl. Kielin Dunn died in Afghanistan on February 18, 2010. His family honors him in many ways, one being the Run for the Fallen. This event is ran by a group of people who travel a mile for every service member from Virginia killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

The 4-day run began April 30 and ended May 3. The event was 240+ miles from Fort Story, Virginia to Arlington National Cemetery.
