I found this beautiful creature occupying an abandoned gallery on a small 1/4 inch diameter live oak twig. My first guess is that it's an ambrosia beetle gallery. Somewhere I believe I have a still of the original holes, before I whittled them open, with a penny as a backdrop. I'll try to find and post it, as this and the next couple of videos do not give any perspective as to just how tiny these galleries--and this critter--are.
