This video begins with dividing a proper fraction into a whole number and visually demonstrates the calculation using a number line. An attempt is made to the explain the concept of changing division to multiplication by the reciprocal referring to the number line representation of the calculation. Second, an improper fraction is divided by a whole number where number lines are used to visually demonstrate the calculation. Lastly, division problems are performed by changing division to multiplication by the reciprocal and dividing out common factors when possible.
