There is an abundance of delicious and unique fruits in Colombia, from the tropical fruits to the fruits that grow only at high altitudes.

Pitayas. Amazingly sweet and juicy. (Known by locals to relieve constipation, and are often eaten for this purpose.)

Guanabana. Deliciously creamy and juicy fruit that is very sweet with a slightly tangy flavor.

Granadilla. One of many types of passion fruit found in Colombia. Sour, tangy, and crunchy (because of the edible blue seeds).

Zapote. Tastes like a fleshier, meatier persimmon. Very sweet.

Lulo. Tart and juicy with an unexpected texture.

Uchuva. They look like orange cherry tomatoes and they taste simultaneously sweet and sour.
