Climb of Point Walker North Face, Climbers Charlie Hampson and Don from South Africa who I met at the Bar Nash. He had never been Ice climbing before but was a good rock climber and really game on doing the Walker. I led the climb in my plastic boots typical subalp technique to save weight. Summer of 1983 . After the climb I went directly to the Bar Nash and celebrated an ascent of one of the Great North Faces. Late at nite when I went back to my tent at Snell's Field (back then it was a free campground for climbing skids) and since I had been gone for a while somebody had moved in so I thru all their stuff out. Then later they arrived and we had a heated disscussion about the ownership of the tent and how I was not dead. The germans living in the piss green VW van thought that was pretty funny. They also wanted me to translate some Dead Kennedys Lyrics (guess which ones). Thats how I met Andreas Nehring and we went off to do the Central Piller of Freny on Mount Blanc. We made a great movie of that to bad the film in my camera had broken.
