On December 12, 2007, atheist Hemant Mehta spoke about his infamous eBay auction to the Humanists of West Suburban Chicagoland, a Membership Chapter of the American Humanist Association. The event took place at the DuPage Unitarian Universalist Church in Naperville, IL.

In the video, he refers to the moment he decided to auction his church-going time on eBay and the initial media reaction to it.

The auction eventually ended at a staggering $504. A month after appearing on Kirk Cameron's radio show, Hemant's story appeared on the front page of The Wall Street Journal and eventually led to the writing of his book "I Sold My Soul on eBay."
