As you can see from the upload date, this video is extremely outdated. I made this video when I was 13 years old, hence the poor editing and lack of effort, so my apologies for that. As of 2016 I will turn 24 and oddly enough, Kobe decides to retire. It's my Kobe year but it's Kobe's last year.. I guess it's kind of a bittersweet gift from the mamba lol (Read more below for a little backstory).

I've been a die hard Laker fan for as long as I can remember, being born and raised in Los Angeles. I still have vivid memories of my dad taking me and my big brother to some games in The Forum during Kobe's early years. From then on, I've always looked up to him. He was like a hero to me in sorts, especially when I was a kid. He's the reason why I started playing the game at such a young age, whether it was at school or at the park, you would always see me on a court with his #8 jersey on trying my best to imitate him. It led me to have such a deep love and passion for the game to this day, which I am very grateful for as it helped me avoid certain things in life that I know I would regret.

As we all know his game has diminished greatly these past years, due to age and injuries and as sad as it's been for me to witness it, I'm glad it's coming to an end like this. With past legends, today's stars, and every team around the league showing their appreciation for what he has done for the game. It goes without saying that he has inspired so many people around the world, including myself, throughout his historic 20 years with the Lakers.

It has truly been an honor watching him play for all that time because I know there will never be another Kobe Bryant. In my humble opinion, he is the greatest basketball player to ever lace them up. Thank you for all the memories Kobe, the game will never be the same without you.
