http://www.YARN.com -- When knitting a garment from the top down, the Sewn Hem is a simple way of sewing the live stitches to the back of your fabric to create a finished looking hem. Use the Sewn Hem is quick to do and looks nearly invisible from the front of your knitting.
You'll need a tapestry needle and enough yarn to sew down your entire hem. When using the overcast stitch to sew down your live stitches, be sure to do it loose enough so there is enough flexibility in your hem.
