The Office of Naval Research (ONR) TechSolutions-sponsored Scuba Binary Dive Application (SBDA 100) automates the submission of dive profiles directly from a dive computer worn by Navy divers to the Naval Safety Center’s Dive Jump Reporting System (DJRS) database, eliminating transcription errors and the re-entering of dive site information for multiple dives by the same diver. The idea to automate the reporting of dive logs came from the Force Master Diver at the Naval Expeditionary Combat Command to ONR’s TechSolutions, who partnered with the Space Warfare Systems Center Atlantic and the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division to develop the SBDA 100.
