A great mile stone was achieved by the University of Limerick today with the opening of its new Irish World Academy. This purpose built building was designed by Daniel Cordier and will house the Irish World Academy. The official opening was performed by An Taoiseach Brian Cowen T.D. and entertainment was provided by Micheal O Suilleabhan, The Irish Chamber Orchestra, The Chieftains and many other members of the Irish World Academy .
