Soloists: Marin Cazacu, Alexandra Gutu, Razvan Suma and Olga Manescu ("Cellissimo" cello quartet), National Romanian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ilarion Ionescu-Galati -conductor. The "TURKISH BOLERO" has been written for the anniversary of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra and it has dedicated toits first performers -- the conductor Ilarion Ionescu-Galati and the Quartet of soloist cellos -- "Cellissimo", consisting of Marin Cazacu, Alexandra Gutu, Razvan Suma and Olga Manescu. Admirer of Maurice Ravel, Serban Nichifor starts his musical approach from the scheme of the well-known "Bolero" of Maurice Ravel. Thus, he creates a concert work, whose repeated melody has as a starting point the special color of the Turkish folklore. The solution found in solving different problems of orchestration -- created by the more and more amplified melody -- as well as the craftsmanship of the four soloists instruments evidence the double formation of the author as a composer and a cellist.
