Workshop Description: Explore this unforgettable painting experience found only at the Oregon coast! Using sand, found objects and collage materials, students develop beautiful surfaces on stretched canvas which reflect the rugged coastal landscape. Students learn color, collage and work from a non-predictable surface creating 3 or more large land-inspired paintings incorporating clay slip, sand, wax and paint.
Returning sand painters easily advance their skills in new directions. Free canvas building workshop held at instructor's Portland studio prior to class. Join this intense sand painting class taught by Judy Vogland at the Oregon coast for the past 34 years
