One of 13 limousines Checker built at its Kalamazoo, Michigan factory in February 1982, its final production year, this car was made for the high-end professional car market. Under the hood is GM’s 267 cubic V-8, hooked to a Turbo Hydramatic 400, three-speed automatic transmission with 2.72 gearing. Driver convenience features include dual Frostemp air-conditioning, cruise control, power steering and power brakes with front discs. The interior is finished in black vinyl and like all limos has the availability of jump seats for more passenger capacity. Along with other power accessories, this Checker has a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with CD player. The exterior is finished in a Dark Green paint with full black vinyl roof and opera windows. Checker, long known for it's dominance in the taxi trade and occasional civilian cars, seeing a rare Checker limo especially in this condition was a good find. Thanks very much for viewing this 1982 Checker A12E Marathon limo.
