Ryan Duffy tells a story of gratitude that tugs on heart strings and resonates with everyone. Dr. Duffy shows us why showing gratitude to those that deserve it least need it most help.

Dr. Ryan Duffy is a University of Florida Research Foundation Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Training Director of the Counseling Psychology Program. He mainly studies the connection between work and well-being and has published more than 90 articles in this area. Ryan also teaches two large undergraduate courses: Positive Psychology: The Science of Happiness and What is the Good Life? He dreams about having interesting and exciting leisure interests but mainly spends his free time watching television and having excessively long conversations about interpersonal relationships and what makes life happy.
