Learn how to draw a bike! This video is a little different to the car videos I've done; this is just a generic sports bike, not a particular make/model. You should be able to do it in around 3 minutes once you understand the proportions.
The idea is to create a quick sketch that captures the essence of the bike and its proportions, not a photo realistic illustration. I use Phoshotop CS4 and a graphic tablet, but you should have no problems drawing the basic shape with a regular pencil and a sheet of paper.
The wheelbase used for this sketch is 1.5 wheels long.
Take a look at how the relevant points that dictate the proportions are placed relative to the wheels drawn at the beginning. It's all about joining those points correctly, with either straight, concave or convex lines.
From 3:39 on, the video is fast forwarded, because by that point the basic shape was already done, and from then on all I did was basically clean up the sketch and then color it. _________________________
