This is my first club shoot at Impact Zone Gun Range hosted by Alex Casis of Generation Practical Shooters Gun Club. It was a memorable trip being a city slicker driving through some of Texas beautiful winding and gentle sloping roads. GPS pointed to the right direction and I arrived standing in front of a ranch. The gate was adorned with bleach bright white cow skulls, reminds me of an old spagettie western movie. As far as the eyes could see, it was farmland and livestock pasture. No clue or sign of a gun range. The only sign on the gate was a warning "Please Leave The Gate Close". First word came to mind was "Trespassing". Would my skull end up along with the cow skulls if I open the gate ? Did the cow try to trespassed too ? ....LOL. Understandably, this is a working cattle ranch and a private gun club. It's not geared to be accessible by the public except during a match.
Impact Zone Gun Range is only 25 minutes from the nearest "major major major" shopping center, Katy Mills Mall. Ladies pay attention, drop off your man at the range by 10:00 am while you go Sunday shopping for a solid 4 hours. When you're done ladies, stop by All You Can Eat Sushi Bar and Chinese Buffet on Fry Road and Interstate 10. Your man will be so happy, full and sleepy, he wouldn't even notice the damage you did at the mall...LOL !
Don't forget to watch the Bloopers and Behind the Scene footage normally cut on the final version to limit video upload time.
I find humor in Chinese proverb by replacing the period at the end of the sentence with a comma and adding the phrase "in bed" found inside Fortune Cookies. This particular match was an exception. This match reads like "Good fortune takes preparation , in the gun range" and not "in bed". I was not prepared were to put the camera nor anticipated the end result of captured raw video footage unedited. Try as I may to rectify and produce a final cut video, I decided to show the bloopers. Filming unattended, the camera position interfered with heavy traffic were shooters wait and watch the stages. My bad ! I have plenty of "Ass Shot and wasted footage. By adding the bloopers, it turn out to be a fun Sunday at the range video. Behind the scene footage captured lighter moments and laughter we all enjoy as a squad during a match. You get enough shooters with the right attitude and I guarantee, y'all have a good time at the range competing in a match.
