Our panel discusses how traumatic stress affects children's development. They have studied children in orphanages overseas, and children here who come from abusive or neglectful backgrounds and it has taught us a lot about how children develop behaviourally and intellectually. Can the damage be reversed? Why is some stress good for development? And where is the line?
