I was surprised how popular my previous c64 compilation got even though it was hastily put together so I made one more. Thanks to everyone for your nice comments :)
This time I put little bit more effort into this, trying to avoid unnecessary looping present here and there on my previous vid and also making this one almost twice as long. As usual I manually adjusted audio levels, but some tracks might still be little bit louder or quieter than others. I would need decent headphones and more time to make it closer to perfect.
Most of the tracks selected are quite popular and many easily belong to my top10 favorite c64 game tunes, but some less popular tunes also included. Still so many good tunes I had to skip. This time I used recordings from real c64 hardware downloaded from SOASC= (mostly 6581R2), but there are few emulated tunes also.
Even though SOASC= is awesome there are some problems: 1. Some tunes are cut prematurely, 2. Occasional overamplification causing distortion, 3. Downloads are compressed to 128kbps MP3. Still, audio quality is far more better when compared with cheap TV-cards many use to record c64 video and audio. See if you can find those few emulated tracks :)
I included Google searched pictures of composers. Many pictures are unfortunately in bad low resolution JPG quality. For three composers I couldn't find even a single picture. Camera clearly caught many of them with a funny expression. I tried to select best quality pictures and not the most ridiculous expressions, except for Benn ;)
