This job for the editors is kinda contradictory. To make a perfect corrupted video.

Having used both Final Cut Pro X and Premiere Pro CS5.5, CS6, and CC ALOT! I can say that Adobe is obviously the upper software with many more professional features, but on the other hand Final Cut Pro X is nice if you need to splice something together quickly, and for the price not too bad. I would say if your making a Youtube show, or even making a wedding video you need done fast and looking good Final Cut Pro X is great for that especially with it's magnetic timeline and easy color presets. BUT if you are someone who makes short films and more of the professional side, All the adobe products are MUCH MUCH nicer and more Productive! But they are expensive and harder to learn if your just starting out! But with Adobe CC it's getting easier for younger people to afford!

Do you run down streets with an Avid gang and find iMovie users, pull t-shirts over their head, and jack them in the face? Because what I'm really saying is, I think you need to find more worthwhile causes to be passionate about.
It's been almost five years now since Final Cut Pro X came out, and it has improved a LOT. It's become my video editor of choice on my Intel Macs when I want to work on a project that goes beyond iMovie or whatever.
Gotta appreciate the wicked interlace.
