In this piece I used sound samples from traditional music and from 2 contemporary experimental musician friends from Peru: Tomas Tello and Renzo Filinich. I also use recordings of birds. The videos were done with my ipod. They are Umbrellas, Clouds, Puppets and a camera in a plastic bag under the rain recording random stuff. All of them were done in everyday circumstances. I use all of these found sonic and visual objects to create symbols that are powerful to me: The sacred in the profane. Then, the composition using strings and percussion tried to create a personal ritual live with these symbols, having the vocal improvisation as its most personal moment. The videos were projected during the performance, synchronized with the score, as an organic part of the piece.
