Can we all just end this," stereo typical" war. All of this" oh, English is better cuz we don't spur our horses." And," Oh, western is better cuz me let our horses head rest." I mean come on, seriously. You can't say one is worse than the other when half the time 80% of the ppl that say that have never tried the other one. I prefer western and that is my own opinion, and the only reason I say that is cuz the only English I've done is over a log on a trail. And if ya'll don't appreciate it well I don't care cuz... Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate . You may not have the same likes and dislikes as others, but horseback riding wasn't to start a war about which is better. Wow I'm glad that I got that off of my chest

Western!!! Takes way more skill, try going 35 mph around barrels so low ur foot drags on the ground. And roping a cow , that drags ur horse to its need

I prefer English just because I ride it but I still have respect for Western riders I don't think any of them are better they both are unique and take skill.

I used to ride western, then the ranch i went to closed down and i couldn't find a western barn close enough so i tried english and in my opinion both are really wonderful, despite the differences. but hey, we both love horses right?
Westerns fricking hard... I almost slipped out of the dam saddle when I rode in it for the first time... Yea, it was on a hot headed QH roping prospect, but still. Just keeping your weight centered is so hard when riding western! I honestly don't know how I ever thought it was easy... But I guess western people would say the same thing about english riders. They are SO different! The only thing that's the same is we are on a horse, SO STOP COMPARING THEM!

There's really no difference..they both deal with horses, the riding style may be different, but we're all riders, neither is better than the other.
