PAPER WORDS is the story about a newly arrived immigrant girl who is placed in an English-only classroom. The girl's inability to adapt in her new environment places her teacher into a difficult position, one that challenges the teacher's skills set, assumptions and knowledge base. This short is based loosely on a compilation of common immigrant stories and themes. PAPER WORDS' colorfully rich sets married with an enchanting musical score provide the backdrop for this universal story that transcends the usual boundaries of time and place.
