On May 8th, North Carolina voters will decide whether to add an amendment to the state constitution that defines marriage as between a man and a woman. On March 29th, WFAE held a Public Conversation in the McGlohon Theatre to give people a chance to air their views on Amendment One.
The forum included two panelists. Frank Turek, an opponent of same sex marriage, presented his argument in favor of the amendment. And Scott Sigman, a professor at Charlotte School of Law offered his thoughts in opposition.
Several hundred showed up offering their own perspectives. These are some of the highlights from the event.
