What does it mean to fly? Here's what we think: http://bit.ly/projectflight
In the month of December, 12+ will be embarking on its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date. Project: FLIGHT aims to provide scholarships for 12+ students. We want to give our students wings to fly above a world filled with limitations and boundaries.
After much deliberation, the 12+ team decided that the best way to do so is to use 100% of donations to fund scholarships for 100% of our students. That means every penny we raise during Project: FLIGHT will go directly towards funding our students' post-secondary education.
We teamed up with spoken word poet Ben Alisuag and music artist Jason Min as well as Esso Studios to create a video project that we believe embodies the heart of our mission at 12+. We encourage you to view the video and share it with as many people as possible!
Three Ways to Give:
We have decided to launch project: flight on Global Giving's open challenge, which you can find here: www.bit.ly/projectflight. We invite you to revisit how you would like to give back to the community this holiday season and thoughtfully consider giving to our students.
If you or your company would like to match (up to do a pre-determined amount) the money we are able to raise, please contact email@example.com to sign up for the challenge. This method of giving will encourage our team to ramp up our donation efforts to maximize the benefit for our students.
Moreover, in an effort to raise awareness, we will be offering donors the opportunity to engage in a viewership matching campaign, where they can donate one penny ($0.01) for every view our video gets on YouTube. This will challenge us to spread awareness and increase the impact that this video can have on viewers. You will be featured on our website to encourage others to join the cause!
