Gifted teen violinist Scott Waldron, Jr. (aka Scottie Waldron) performs Zigeunerweisen, Op. 20 by Pablo de Sarasate. His accompanist is Clinton Adams. The ad hoc performance took place at Shriver Hall at The Johns Hopkins University at a talent night. Scott didn't have much time to prepare and hadn't played this piece for quite some time but gives an amazing performance. At the time of this recording, recently restored from an old Mini DV tape, his teacher was Herbert Greenberg, who nicknamed him "The Dragon." Prior to acceptance to Mr. Greenberg's studio, he was a student of Klara Berkovich. Scottie plays a 1955 violin made by Italian master Scrollavezza from Cremona.
